What are the benefits of installing an invisible dog fence?
If you're currently fence-free but you need a fence to contain your dog, an invisible dog fence is a great choice. Here are four reasons why:
1) Dog fences are relatively inexpensive.
Traditional wood and metal fences aren't cheap: Depending on the area of the country in which you live, the cost can range from around $8/ft. for a basic wood privacy fence to more than $25/ft. for a wrought iron fence.
In contrast, if you install it yourself, an invisible dog fence costs anywhere from $125 to $500, depending on the size of your yard and the quality of the fence you purchase. Even if you hire a pro to install your dog fence for you, the entire job should cost around $1000 to $2500—still much less expensive than a traditional fence.
2) Dog fences protect your pet and your view.
Why buy a home on a golf course or the lake only to block the loveliness with a wood or metal fence?
3) You can use a dog fence to protect your landscaping and other expensive equipment.
If you're getting an invisible-style fence for dog containment, consider also using it to protect expensive items like your landscaping, air conditioning unit, or pool.
4) Your dog can't jump over or dig under a dog fence.
For many dogs, a traditional fence simply isn't a reliable containment method — they dig under the fence or climb over it, they destroy the fence with their teeth, or they quickly slip by when you open the gate for yourself. On the other hand, if you use a good dog fence training program and you keep your fence in good working order, your dog won't escape or destroy his invisible boundary.
